- How do you describe the feeling of imposter syndrome? When does it affect you the most? Why?
The feeling is almost like you’re staying at an airbnb and you’re super uncomfortable. You paid for it and it’s yours but you still feel like you don’t belong there. Right now I WISH that I felt like I had imposter syndrome. Right now I am just treading along and trying to get by.
2. What have you learned about the tech world that you are happy to know?
The tech world is really what you make of it. It used to seem like such an exclusive world but really it’s for everyone.
3. Why is the way we talk to ourselves in our inner mind so important? What effect can it have on our well-being?
I think it’s important to be caring and positive when you’re talking to yourself in your inner mind. It effects your entire mood and your out look on your day to day life. I know if I go into a work day absolutely dreading it then it ruins my entire day.
4. What about this course is challenging you the most? How do you think you are growing through it?
I think finding the time and the energy after work to really focus on the work. I am really learning to prioritize what matters the most to me, which is succeeding in school.
5. How has podcast listening influenced the way you think?
I listen to a lot of true crime podcasts and it helps me multi-task while cleaning the house.
6. What has your spare time looked like in comparison to what it looked like a year ago?
I only have two days a week that are actual days off now a days compared to last year (pre covid) I was living for the weekend. Now I am just striving for a better future and if giving up my party days leads to that, it’s worth it.
